MISTRESS OF SPICES

A foodie who lives and writes in Granada, one of Spain’s hidden treasures. From Arab-influenced architecture to the sound of flamenco echoing through the narrow-pebbled streets and traditional speciality tapas filling the air, like a cool summer breeze from the River Darro. Food for me is a connection to the land and the seasons. My life is about sustainable living and creative culture, which involves a very outdoor lifestyle that starts at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. I love cooking with and eating fresh, local produce that is grown in the city and surrounding areas where I live. I am a strong believer in global consciousness and try to cook using wholefoods where I can. I have written for The Beacon Magazine, The National UAE and many more.
