This refreshing and zesty Melon with Lemon Peel and Lemon Oil is perfect on a hot summer day – and even juicier when seared on a wood-burning barbecue. With a good zing of lemon and a touch of heat, these tangy melon slices will quench your summer thirst.

Cooking time 3-4 minutes

  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chilli flakes
  • 1 tablespoon flaky sea salt
  • The zest of one lemon
  • 2 tablespoons Azada Olive Oil & Lemon
  • 1 melon, cut into wedges with seeds and pulp removed

Place the ground black pepper, chilli flakes, sea salt and Azada’s Olive Oil and Lemon in a small pan over medium heat until the chilli flakes begin to sizzle. Remove from the heat and leave to cool. Once cool, gently spoon over the melon slices and enjoy.

Chef’s Tips

If you don’t like melon, you can also use watermelon and substitute the black pepper and chilli flakes for a teaspoon (each) of cumin and coriander seeds.
